In 1990 I filed bankruptcy. Having lived through debt problems made me want to help others find good positive solutions to debt problems and financial troubles so they did not have to live through the same pain, fear, embarrassment and shame.
Because of my experience, in 1994 I founded the not-for-profit organisation Myvesta in the US to assist people that wanted better solutions for their financial situations. Since that time Myvesta has been able to assist people with caring, holistic and comprehensive solutions to overcome money troubles. We've implemented all sorts of solutions such as IVA type programs, debt consolidation loans, remortgaging, debt settlements, pro-rata repayment schedules and debt management plans for all types of debt, secured and unsecured.
At Myvesta we have also provided countless people with free educational materials through our website. We have written a number of self-help books to help people get out of debt and we've helped to feed military families in need, we've volunteered tens of thousands of hours of service and appeared in the printed press, television and radio, thousands and thousands of times providing expertise and advice for people in trouble. But what I am most proud of are the realistic unique solutions we have developed and provided to individuals and families to help them overcome their financial situations.
