I have to admit I am completely jealous of this deal I’m about to tell you about for mobile broadband. You see I just signed up on a deal where I pay three times as much. I probably shouldn’t admit that but this offer is a month too late in appearing for me to use. Damn.

The ability for me to use my laptop, no matter where I am, at first was a nice feature but now has turned into a real need. With all the traveling and moving about that I do it is just so cool to be able to open your laptop up anywhere and get connected to the net.

Probably the two strangest places I’ve used my mobile broadband access was doing emails while on a train speeding at 125 MPH towards London and as a passenger in a speeding car headed from Scotland.

But what I’ve grown accustom to is being out someplace or waiting for something and pulling out the laptop and connecting to the internet to make good use of idle time. Oh yes, that doesn’t count the time I updated the website while sitting in the parking lot at Ikea while Pam was in shopping. I don’t want to be sexist, but guys, I had reached my shopping limit that day. You know what I mean.

My daughter recently moved into a new flat and is still waiting for BT to get her connected but while she waits she is using mobile broadband to stay online and connect with friends and work. I personally think most of her traffic is chatting or Skype but she’ll deny it.

Anyway, for you tech geeks like me, how can you pass up £10 per month with a 1GB limit. Higher plans are available up to 7 GB a month for less than what I pay. Damn, again!
