Making a Decision
Lately I have been speaking to people who in explaining their financial situation ask me what should they do?
I outline for them the options they have and then they ask again, what should I do? They want me to tell them what to do or which option they should take.
I cannot do this, all I can do is advise and explain what may be the stronger option(s) based on what they have stated they want to achieve; but the decision is theirs to make.
Yet, many people want someone to just say to them, do this, this is what you need to do.
They need someone to take them by the hand and direct them as to which way to go and how to begin.
For people who have made the decision to go bankrupt and know this is the stronger option for them, we offer an Assistance Service, which completes the forms for you and assist you the entire 12 months you are in bankruptcy.
For those that are trying to decide how to avoid bankruptcy and which repayment scheme is best for them, the first step is the most difficult.
Someone may know they are experiencing financial difficulties, but are unsure where to go for advice. Obviously, we at Myvesta are here to help as best we can, and our advice is free. You cannot beat that, free.
It is just taking that first step, and then again for many, trying to decide which is the best solution.
And again, only you can decide and know what is best for you and what you ultimately what to accomplish.
If someone needs to avoid bankruptcy for whatever reason, they own property and may lose it, employment, etc, there are repayment schemes such as debt management plans and IVA’s.
If a person is insolvent and there is no way they can ever repay the debts, then a form of insolvency is a quick solution to be relieved of the debts and to be able to move on and make a fresh start.
It may be bankruptcy is the better option, but there also are Debt Relief Orders, Administration Orders, all a form of insolvency and to relieve or assist you in repaying the debt(s); much of what determines the option to use is how much debt you may have.
So while I cannot tell you what you should do, I am here to advise and assist you in your decision, and of course I would try my best to not see you chose poorly.
