UK Bankruptcy Whilst Living in the EU

Can you go bankrupt in the UK if you now live elsewhere in the EU?

What resolutions will you make?  I know a lot of questions in a short period.  But think about it.  Will you quit smoking, drinking, philandering, etc.  Maybe, you might think, I’ll get my financial house in order.  Yes, that’s it.  My debts will get sorted this year.
Does this mean credit is bad?  No, it does not.  You need to have a means to pay for airfares, hotels, and the such when traveling or making purchases on the Internet or through catalogs.  However, you can pay the balance when it comes due.  Or in the instance of large purchases, washing machines, dryers, etc, pay the balance over a few months, but pay it in full prior to making more purchases.

As a Financial Counselor I am asked daily by clients to give my advice on getting a mortgage or credit in the future, whilst they are currently reviewing going bankrupt. Why is the cart always put ahed of the horse?
