Question: I am about to move in with a friend that has an iva on her and her husbands house, they are seperating, selling their property and getting seperate houses can a morgage be transfered to another property of similar value or will this affect the iva. my friend only works part time and i feel she would fall behind with the payments would i need to take on the payments for her
Answer: Unless you are on the IVA with her now, you will not be responsible for the IVA payments.
She will need to speak to the supervisor of her IVA as in some IVA's with property involved, selling the property and moving can be an issue.
