Bankruptcy Forms Question

Postby smirney on 22 Jun 2009, 13:31

Hi
I am in the middle of filling out my forms and have a question,
I am going bankrupt and i am employed and i pay the rent, petrol. We get tax credits both working and child and also child benefit but these get paid into my wifes account who is unemployed and looks after our two children and she pays all the other bills food, water, council tax, electric, gas and her own debts. But on the form what do i put down do i put all the tax credits and child benefit we get because when you get to the outgoings it looks like we have a bit of money spare but we don't as my wife has her own bills do i put them on other essential payments or just leave them off and tell the or when they call if they ask about the outgoings. please help!!!!

Hello

You need to give details of household income and household expenditure, so all bills need to go down, as well as all income.

I also have questions about the forms, but it's the initial forms to declare myself bankrupt.

Is there a link to a website that explains what the terminology means?

I tried registering at https://www.insolvencydirect.gov.uk/isolv but they didn't send me an activation key and when I tried to re-register they said my account already existed, but I can't get in without the key!

I found some Word and PDF forms online but can't find them now, but I do remember that they were very confusing. Does anyone know where I can find them?

What forms is it you need, and what terminology didn't you understand?

Have you checked your junk / bulk e-mail folder for the activation key?

Thanks for the reply.

There was nothing in the junk folder but I contacted them and they sent out a new activation key. I have started the online forms and they are totally different to the PDF I saw previously. All seems straight forward so far but I will be back if I have any questions.
