5 Years after going bankrupt....Wescott have come out of the woodwork hounding me for a 5year old Orange telephone bill for £96...they wont believe I went bankrupt & I've thrown every thing out to do with it (bad memories)....any idea how to get rid of these scum bags?

Hi.
I would contact the court in question and ask it to give you the case number and date then simply pass this information on to your forner creditor and leave it at that. Chances are that it will still pester but ignore further communications until it dawns on them.

If it goes as far as court for a CCJ just respond by sending the same information to the court. It will come to nothing and will have cost your creditor the court fees as its punishment for inneficiency.

Hi,

Funny you should mention Wescott, It has happened to me, as well as the follwoing;

T Mobile, Welcome Finance and Cobolt Financial.

They have all been informed of my bankruptcy 0f 2003 and yet still insist on sending debt collecting letters, each time a different debt collection agency. Each time resulting in the same old telephone conversation 'I need you to send in details'.

I've also noted on my credit report these debts a still showing as default's. Even though they say they were last updated in 2005. I was discharged around this date.

Is there a procedure which i must follow to stop these letters and to get a more accurate credit report?
